Ninja Daddy
As I turned my back, leaving daddy,
he handed to me a little man.
Twirled out of iron, wrapped by black cloth,
tied with red threads, hand holding a bamboo spear.
Daddy's ninja shall be by my side,
watching over as I sleep,
fighting monster from entering my dreams,
scaring away the dark.
Goodnight daddy,
your secret is safe with me.
he handed to me a little man.
Twirled out of iron, wrapped by black cloth,
tied with red threads, hand holding a bamboo spear.
Daddy's ninja shall be by my side,
watching over as I sleep,
fighting monster from entering my dreams,
scaring away the dark.
Goodnight daddy,
your secret is safe with me.

Forget Not Your Friend
The collection of memories in time.
The familiar faces that are yet to fade.
Remember now the feeling of pondering.
Forget not the deeds and love shared.
Treasure the girl soon to see on covers.
The changing colour of wind as you cycle to the carnival.
The loud sound from a soft heart.
The thin waist below the small shoulder.
Remember the girl with the world in her eyes.
The pink kitty and sharp giggles.
The best elf of Santa before Christmas.
The story of the chipmunk and the alien.
Forget him not as he flew a paper plane of drawn hearts.
The missing keys of the open lockers doors.
The swift move of the wooden toy soldier
stopped by a hurtful victory.
Leave not behind the glasses and books on the table.
The little boy in the corner surrounded by tall men.
His silent cry of bait for the fishes and butterflies.
The comfort that came with guilt.
Celebrate the birth of together.
The rainy days of his sight to her.
The cat you soon fear.
The tower soon emptied.
Look upon of milky ways up above.
The birds sing to the little girl twirling in the garden.
The little boy awaits for his white horse to ride away
to the land he rule.
Wish for the her forgiveness as her pure heart ponders.
The balloons flew her away in her puffy purple dress.
Sharing of love to the prince of the far east,
racing chapters of wonders.
The girl lost herself in the dark jungle.
The jungle of crooked paths and misty sights.
The broken tooth of the tiger and
the echoing tap of rain.
As the girl falls to the ground, her sight fades and memories float.

The End
My schooling days are soon to end.
Together with my fellow 94' comrades.
We fought through years and years of formal education.
We ran, we fell, we stand up strong as ever.
Soon to end our morning greetings with husky voices still asleep.
The non stop chatters through out the day.
The stories we write , the history we make.
The laughters that echo through the hallway.
Soon to end, the giggles and gossips.
The story of the one who fell for another.
The romance novel left unwritten by love birds that became angry birds.
The future ponders who is next.
Soon to end, the bond between acquaintances.
The string of time and joy that ties us together.
To not end I pray,
The making of memories in time to come.
The strengthening of close bond build by time.
The young passion of dreams and goals.
The heart of joy and love.

Colour Your Heart
![]() |
| Remember the colours. |
We can never stop ourselves from feeling how we feel.
No matter we are in fear, joy or sorrow.
Every emotion on our face paints a colour on our heart.
Each colour carries a mood and a memory.
Remember it and colour it.
To lessen the pain, to add to joy.
Colour out your feelings so that you will remember the lesson you learnt at that very moment.
I painted out my nightmare.

For Friends
![]() |
Dear Friend(s),
How are you?
Silly of me to ask when we are always together
but we never really bothered asking how are things actually going.
Neither do we ask nor answer.
Maybe we simply try to take our minds off our hectic lives
to just enjoy our time being together.
Gathering all the laughters to last us till we meet again.
The pleasure is yours to have a part in my life.
Don't worry about the many others.
There is rarely a few.
I pray every morning that you are safe and well
and so enjoy your day.
I will never taster sweetness if I never know bitter and sour.
I am always there, don't worry, I am not going anywhere.
Please talk to me so that I can talk to you.
I do not want to fear you one day.

Shadows That Follow
![]() |
| Joanne's Shadow |
As time goes by, we reach the light.
We can truly say we have grown by age, by wisdom and by strength.
17 years might not be long but long enough.
As we are no longer in the dark unaware of our surroundings,
we still carry darkness behind us.
We can never leave our dark past behind.
As much as I want to leave history unwritten,
the memories never leave.
May the past stay as the past who made me my present.
If you were to ask which part of my past would I not want to treasure,
I would answer you my earlier years as a child.
As much as children are innocent, they are aware of what goes around them.

Loving Inspiration
![]() |
| Queenie, Joanne (Me) and Casandra. |
Greet my current inspiration hello.
These two friends of mine have been really helpful and inspiring.
I am really thankful for them to be in my life.
I guess they will feel awkward reading in later.
We are all different in our own ways
but our contrast together is beautiful.
I do hope that through time and our affection for each other
will keep us together.
Even after we no long see each other every morning,
I pray that we still remember each other.
Oh, the sentimental...
Now get jealous of what we treasure.

Not The Fear of Falling
![]() |
| Ups & Downs [Larrie, Queenie & Poh Ling] |
Things that happen around us are what mould our expressions.
No matter how easy our expressions may appear,
never show fear.
For it might be a weapon against us.
take control of how they will think.
Always ask this to yourself;
How would I want others to see me?
Never to forget to feel good about yourself.
Nobody is alike, thats an awesome fact.

La Creame de Casandra
![]() |
| Casandra's Beauty. |
What is beauty to you?
I'm not going to argue about importance of inner beauty or what not.
My definition of beauty;
" the effort put into showing one's best"
Every girl is born beautiful.
To whether it is shown or hidden.
There is no perfection to where we set our goals.
I am constantly told to not dress for others but only for myself.
Seriously, does what other think really not matter?
Don't judge a book by its cover?
Would you read a book with a hideous cover?
Let's be honest,
appearance does matter and in fact it plays an important role.
So, we dress for ourself and others.
Should I dress for girls or guys?
I would say girls.
"You look beautiful"
It means more coming out from a girl's mouth than a guy's.
Only girls know how much effort was put in.
Dressing for guys is an unbreakable code.
To even get near, it requires a whole lot of rights.
Right time, right guy, right moment..etc..
I have been told that guys like Cinderella.
By that, I mean the ordinary looking girl that transforms to awesomely gorgeous.
Do a little thinking.
That would require a handfull acquaintance.
If first acquaintance is nothing much interesting,
second acquaintance would not even happen.
Unless, so happen there is one.
So you see, you can't be fully prepared for everything.
Slightly changing the topic,
it takes effort.
Don't sit in the dark emoing with flaws.
Nobody is flawless.
The trick is to show what others don't have and change your flaws to perfection.
Nothing is impossible,
we now have modern technologies.
Wonders can happen just if we want it to.

| Life of colours with family. |

| Life of the brave and bold. |
Recently, I attended a photography workshop.
This particular topic was on Life.
So this was my translation, Life On The Road.
I never got to share my pictures with the class because my CF was screwed,
So I will just share it here.
More on my Facebook but these are some that I liked.
I learnt alot but there is so much more.
It is like a never ending path of knowledge and skills.
Pictures tell stories, I want to tell you mine.
Taking photograph is painting with lights.
I hope one day I will be able to catch the light of heart and paint with it.
Let the journey begun.

Dancing Delights
![]() |
| Justin Choy's colours. |
For the past few weeks, dancers were gathered for Youth Sunday.
It will most probably be our final dance.
As we grow, we move on.
But we will always be together.

| Our beloved mother Jeremy Chew. |
Daughters to the strict loving mother,
Joyce Lim, Deborah Lee, Sharmaine Ho and Joanne Foong.
Many came and gone but the love still remains.
Being Mummy really ain't easy huh?
![]() |
| "NO!" - Sharmaine Ho |
Spending so much time together draws us closer.
Developing our own signs and language,
inner jokes and much laughter.
Through hardship we carry our happy memories.

The young ones will take over soon.
With the passion planted into their hearts,
relationship will soon bloom brightly.
I can't wait.

For now, we hold our hands together and pray,
that the love we have now will never fade away.
May smiles and laughter join our journey.

The Dancing Flowers
![]() |
| Dancing Flower |
The sun shone, lighting up the garden stage.
All dressed up for the show, flowers in white, purple and pink.
The butterflies clap, flying across as the curtains fall apart.
The windy orchestra starts playing its tune.
One by one, the dancers came out.
In bright yellow dresses, dancing gracefully with the wind.
Those were the dancing yellow orchids, the dancing flowers.
.....................................................................
That was the magical sight in a little girl's eyes.
As she leaves for kindergarten each morning,
she plucks a dancing flower and gently tucks it on her pony tail.
She never stop believing in the yellow flowers that dance.
She grew up learning to dance and loving it.
Now, she is all grown up.
Dancing has been a part of her life
but the dancing flowers always reminds her why she first loved it.
The magical sight of a dance.
........................................................................
Dramatic much, just for fun.
You see,
I actually believed that those were called dancing flowers until I am 17 now.
I just found out that it is just a type of yellow orchid.
Oh well.

She was dress in a wedding gown for she never got the chance to do so.
She permed her hair nicely and was ready to meet the Lord.

It had been an annual event to attend to ARGS's IU

It was the year she was the president.
A year after, we went back to cheer on Jesse Lee the IU Director.
